Who were the Better Ancient Warriors of Greece?
The Spartan Or The Trojans? And i would like a genuine answer not an answer based off A movie such as "Troy" Or "The 300" The Trojans never lost a battle until they let the Trojan Horse in or was it that The Trojan Massive wall made them such a formidable army? I also Know the Spartans were trained from birth to fight and be a solider. but what about the boys of Troy? So who is the better warriors on an open Battle Field Trojans or Spartans?

The Spartans were better warriors of Greece. Spartans were trained to be warriors from childhood while the Trojans were more militia like, except with some military training. If you put two warriors in the Colosseum (one trojan, the other a Spartan), the Spartan would win hands down due to military perfectness and training. The weaponry was pretty similar. Both probably would have had a spear, a glavium, and a scutum. Then the leather armour covered by a few pieces of plate.

The Spartan warrior started training when just a child. The inhabitants of Sparta were a warrior culture. That is all the young warriors understood, that was their lot in life, to be a warrior, a conqueror of armies. Hands down, the Spartans were the very best of the best.

I advise that you read the great works by Homer, Iliad and The Odyssey. Also, it wouldn’t hurt to read the Homeric Hymns as well.

To be honest, I don’t think anyone can answer that question with a straight face, and be certain. Any answer would have to be based off of the readings, which is Poetry, and some scholars believe it as fiction.

I would say that the Spartans certainly had an interesting face off with the Persian army. Xerxes commanded a powerful army and they fought as formidable opponents. But the Trojan War is ridiculously long, and they withstood the Ionian fleet for a long time. The Trojans have some of the greatest fighters in history including Noble Hector.
